Fashion Designers

Our company is a global sourcing company specializing in manufacturing and selling activewear and sportswear. We are looking for a full-time Design Assistant Intern who enjoys a fast-paced, multitasking, organized, and detail-oriented person to join our team. Position Purpose and ScopeThe Designer is responsible for creating designs that encompass style, color, and fabric as a result of interpreting fashion trends. Produces design sketches and makes seasonal presentations of proposed designs. The primary role is to work within the line plan to design merchandise consistent with the brand strategy and coordinate with other designers' presentations within a merchandise category or theme.


  • Expertise in specs, fit, and proportion to create technical flat sketches and help with fittings.
  • Command the development cycle and related calendar timelines, and keep the team focused, meeting all deadlines.
  • Arrange & Update line sheets to present to the buyers and management.
  • Assist in the creation and completion of production line sheets.
  • Support and participate in the onboarding process of new associates
  • Communicate with the buyers to arrange the line sheets for specific needs.
  • Prepare color cards to send overseas to develop Lab dips.
  • Strong graphic skills in hangtag and package design.
  • Print and Pattern design & repeat development.
  • Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and their performance in garment form.
  • Excellent communication skills with overseas vendors.
  • Maintaining and organizing the color & print library.
  • Assist in the creation of development requests
  • Collaborate with all cross-functional teams and departments.
  • Creating individual cad to upload on the AMT system.
  • Make a color board for buyer meetings.
  • Research the market as it pertains to product, trim and graphics/ techniques.
  • Partner with production and sourcing to design merchandise that fits within the costing parameters and target customer profile of the brand strategy.
  • Must have an understanding of the design process from start to finish.
  • Mentor Assistant and associate designers.


  • Highly experienced & proficient in Adobe Illustrator & PLM & Browzwear
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion design.
  • Over 5+ years of experience in a related design role. Activewear experience is a plus.
  • Walmart experience is a plus.
  • Strong MAC/PC knowledge, including Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop and Illustrator (Ned Graphics is a plus but not required).
  • Must be proficient in MS office
  • Strong verbal, public speaking, and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex and /or controversial concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Knowledge of production/manufacturing processes and capabilities
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to work well within a team-based environment
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
