Fortune Swimwear LLC, is seeking a Technical Designer who understands the Technical Design process from Development through Production. The Technical Designer MUST HAVE extensive experience in Swimwear, Active and/or Intimate apparel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed technical information to include POM’s, Construction Information and
    Construction Sketches for Swimwear and Coverups.
  • Responsible for and lead the technical design and development process including live model fit sessions.
  • Full understanding and ability to fit 4 way stretch fabric on the body and provide detailed fit
    comments to overseas factories and partners.
  • Full Understanding of pattern block library and how to utilize this in the development and fit
    process.
  • Ability to understand fit standards both on body and on dress form.
  • You will be responsible for timely sample evaluations, ensuring approvals for fit consistency are met.
  • You will follow grade rules, cross-check pattern’s, production specs, and BOM’s before releasing to production.
  • Track and monitor execution to time-and-action calendar; fit and top of production (TOP)
    samples; keep archive of samples, notes, trims, etc.
  • Qualifications include: 5+ years of relevant experience in swimwear, active and/or intimate
    apparel.
  • Must be efficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Full Understanding of the Technical Design Process from development through production.
  • Knowledge of raw materials and manufacturing processes.
  •  Ability to sketch in AI and provide detailed swimwear construction technical sketches.
  • Understanding of Mold Cup and Underwire Sizing.
  • Understanding of patternmaking for swimwear, active and/or intimate apparel.
  • Ability to understand and ensure that an accurate garment is developed and meets Design’s
    aesthetics.
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Target Productions Standards is a plus.

  • This is an onsite/hybrid position.
