Browzwear Fabric Analyzer
With the new Browzwear Fabric Analyzer, it’s faster and easier than ever before to see your fabrics in true-to-life 3D.
Using patent-pending technology, we have developed the first fabric analyzer that gives you the information required for an accurate 3D simulation you can trust.
With minimum human intervention, our custom-designed Fabric Analyzer:

  • Captures the full force extension curve of the fabric sample
  • Translates the data into human-readable parameters including mass, thickness, bend, stretch, linearity and shear
  • Automatically creates a digital fabric ready to be draped in Vstitcher and turned into a 3D garment that you can see for yourself!

The Fabric Analyzer is part of our Open Platform ecosystem. You can use it to analyze any fabric, for any application including footwear and bags. In addition to the human-readable standard data, additional raw captured data of full curves is available on request. Click here to learn more or order now.

We’re pleased to announce the release of VStitcher 7.6 and Lotta 3.6.  In addition to the very exciting addition of SmartDesign, there are new features and improvements in this release that we would like to share with you.

In this release we are also introducing Browzwear Labs, early access to new features that are still in development.  Please try them and send us your feedback!

The Browzwear Team is excited to announce that VF Jeanswear has been named a 2017 Top Innovator by Apparel Magazine. The annual awards are given out by the magazine to companies that harness “the power of technology to improve their businesses and serve the consumer.” We nominated VF Jeanswear for their commitment to advancement demonstrated by their use of Browzwear’s Vstitcher and Lotta 3D to transform their pattern making and product development.

According to the report, “While adopting Browzwear has changed how the Jeanswear’s mass women’s group approaches fit and pattern development, individual pattern makers use the software to varying degrees. More than 30 pattern makers have been trained in Vstitcher for fit development and approximately 25 percent of us use it for 100 percent of pattern development.”

VF Jeanswear has established a program in cooperation with the nearby University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), Department of Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies to recruit interns and graduates and train them in Browzwear software.

Browzwear is building a diverse ecosystem of partner solutions that enable fashion brands to realize the vision of a digital process from design through production and merchandising

Singapore, May 9, 2017 – Browzwear, the leading provider of 3D solutions for fashion design, development and merchandising, announced today the launch of the Browzwear Open Platform. The Open Platform is the cornerstone of a program designed to enable fashion brands and retailers to leverage a growing ecosystem of integrated software solutions as part of their digital apparel process.

The apparel industry is currently transitioning from traditional, manual design and development to digital technologies and workflows that promise faster delivery, higher customer satisfaction, and greater sustainability.  The ability to interact with accurate, 3D garments right from the design stage, all the way through to production and merchandising, is key to this transformation.

With the Open Platform, Browzwear is bringing together the many different solutions that can play a part in the digital process, and enabling them to leverage the power of 3D. Partners in the Open Platform program provide software for asset management, pattern design, costing, merchandising, showcasing, online shopping, workflow and more.  For Browzwear partners, the program features the new Open Platform API, along with support for testing and development, and joint marketing initiatives. For brands and retailers, the program also includes advanced consulting and integration services that help organizations to design and implement a customized digital process successfully.

Here is what some Browzwear partners are saying about the Open Platform initiative:

“Browzwear’s 3D digital technology together with Dassault Systèmes’ Product Lifecycle Management solutions can streamline the way fashion companies design, develop and manufacture products.” Said Chris Colyer, VP Consumer Goods & Retail at Dassault Systèmes. “The Open Platform is an important step forward for the digital transformation of the fashion industry.”

“Browzwear’s true-to-life 3D design and development together with Modo’s photorealistic rendering gives designers the ability to showcase their garments effectively long before samples are available. Through the Open Platform, designers can now launch a Modo render with a single click,” said Shane Griffith, Product Marketing Manager, at Foundry.

“By integrating our GRAFIS 2D CAD software with Browzwear’s 3D prototyping, our customers can instantly simulate their patterns. The integration with Browzwear’s API allows simulation of style modifications to fit and design in seconds. Browzwear’s API provides a wide range of functions which allows this deep integration with our products.” Dr Kerstin Friedrich, Managing director at GRAFIS Software, Germany.

“Each of our customers has a unique process and we are committed ensuring that their digital transformation is a success,” said Sharon Lim, Browzwear CEO. “We created the Browzwear Open Platform program so that we can help every customer create the right solution for their business, through a combination of True-to-Life 3D, expert services, and complimentary products and technologies.”

VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC), a global leader in branded lifestyle apparel, footwear and accessories, today announced that its Jeanswear division is partnering with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) to bring innovative 3D design technology to the school’s Department of Consumer, Apparel and Retail Studies to help prepare students for careers in the apparel and retail industries. VF’s Jeanswear business includes its Wrangler® and Lee®brands.

The innovative technology provides students with a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn state-of-the-art techniques and processes used in the areas of apparel design, production and merchandising. The software enables patternmakers and designers to mimic the real-life process of designing and developing products, which means garments can be made in a few hours, as opposed to the weeks it takes to make physical samples, helping companies save time, money and resources.

The 3D software at the center of this partnership is provided by Browzwear, a specialist in 3D simulation for the apparel and fashion industries.
