Empowering the Next Generation of Fashion Design Students with 3D Technology

On December 24, 2025, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem, Browzwear, and Delta Galil ran their third annual Product in a Day — an intensive industry-style workshop that simulated the end-to-end garment development process.

Delta Galil, which has been part of this collaboration for 3 years, notes that each year students’ fluency in 3D design improves and that combining student creativity with Browzwear’s true-to-life simulation and Delta’s scanned fabrics gives a real advantage to both students and the wider industry.

“Working with Delta Galil and Browzwear gave our students a real glimpse into industry-standard workflows — they could see the finished digital garment before a single stitch was made. That experience is invaluable for preparing them for the future..”

Project Concept & Objectives

The Objective of this project was to simulate a garment development process in the fashion industry, from concept to finished product, through the creation of a digital twin, a 3D garment from which the physical garment will be extracted.

The concept was that all students designed a desert-inspired clothing system that uses Delta Galil’s cooling fabric technology.

The system needed to balance contemporary aesthetics with functional performance for warm climates — addressing heat, sun exposure, urban movement, comfort, and wearability.

“We have run ‘Product in a Day’ for three years, and each year the students’ 3D language becomes more natural. Combining their creativity with Browzwear’s true-to-life simulation and Delta’s finest fabrics gives a real advantage to both the students and the industry.”

What we took away

Students and faculty agreed the workshop was a compact, high-impact way to learn industry workflows. Browzwear let students visualize fit and drape and test iterations digitally before cutting fabric, which reduced material waste and increased confidence. The tight timeline simulated real production pressure and taught project management: prioritizing tasks, balancing quality and speed, and adapting quickly. Students said being able to iterate in 3D accelerated their design decisions and made the translation from concept to physical garment far more predictable and sustainable..

“Working within a 24-hour timeframe requires precision, creativity, and decisive judgment. This project reflects our approach to fostering creative agility and real-world responsiveness. By integrating advanced 3D technologies into an intensive design process, we prepare students to think like professional designers with the tools and skills needed for contemporary fashion practice.”

Wrapping Up

Product in a Day once again demonstrated how tightly integrated digital and physical workflows accelerate learning, reduce waste, and prepare students for an increasingly digital and sustainable fashion industry.

The third-year collaboration between Bezalel, Delta Galil and Browzwear continued to build the students’ 3D language and industry readiness — a win for education and for the future of fashion.
