PEPCO, based in Poland, is one of Europe's fastest-growing value retailers, offering affordable clothing and homeware in 18 countries, with a network of over 4,000 stores. PEPCO has grown significantly over the past decade, growing its workforce tenfold and maintaining excellent quality of products and accessibility for families across Europe.
To grow at that rate, PEPCO needed to modernize its product development cycle, increase fit consistency between categories and speed time to market without compromising its ability to manage costs at scale. That’s where Browzwear entered the frame.
At the 3D NXT LVL event this October at the University of Manchester, Karolina Hennig, Pattern & 3D Sampling Manager at PEPCO, joined Browzwear on stage to discuss the company’s journey in digital product development. The insights she shared—on improving fit accuracy, speeding approvals, and scaling collaboration through 3D—reflect the same successes highlighted below.
PEPCO’s partnership with Browzwear continues to showcase how digital workflows can transform everyday product creation into a faster, more sustainable, and more connected process.
Since 2016, PEPCO and Browzwear have been partnering with one another to re-imagine how PEPCO builds its products — using 3D design and virtual sampling tools. Leveraging speed, accuracy and scalability, the partnership has enabled PEPCO development partners to reduce the development workflow, waste creation and speed development time and get products to market more quickly — all while preserving value.
“In 2016 when we were first experimenting with 3D workflows, Browzwear stood out because it secured fit accuracy,” says Karolina Hennig, Pattern & 3D Sampling Manager at PEPCO. “That precision was the foundation for everything we built afterward.”
Using Browzwear’s VStitcher, PEPCO digitized its complete product development process, from multi-size design and fit validation to marketing-ready visuals.
This process allows teams to:
“We have 3D fit to verify grading rules between sizes for all clothing divisions now,” Karolina said. “Whenever we talk about size standards and accuracy, we use 3D avatars to compare current grading and future grading — because it allows us to make quicker and more confident decisions.”
This integration led to earlier approvals for tighter collaboration and First-Time-Right production — eliminating the need for multiple (and often inconvenient) physical sampling rounds.

By exchanging VStitcher files to each other through Browzwear’s collaboration ecosystem, teams now have the means to look at a design, approve it, and finalize it electronically – and do it all in real time together with cross-functional stakeholders.
Alignment is achieved through a three-step process:
PEPCO’s digital clothing don’t end there just in terms of design.
The same 3D assets are used for eCommerce visuals, social content and marketing campaigns — displacing expensive photoshoots and physical samples.
Applications include:
This tactic has even turned PEPCO’s weekly printed leaflets into a digital-first product display — faster, more economically viable and more sustainable.
PEPCO’s transformation to digital has had clear, real effects:
50% Faster Approvals, 3× Speed to Market, and an 80% First-Time-Right rate.
“We’re seeing fewer sample submissions, and you don't have to grade things like pockets, yokes, or print positioning any longer,” Karolina explains. “It has saved a ton of time and made fit validation more trustworthy across all categories.” These results show how Browzwear’s 3D ecosystem helps PEPCO blend precision and velocity — putting design innovation into measurable business growth."
These findings demonstrate how Browzwear’s 3D ecosystem serves PEPCO to marry precision and velocity — driving tangible business impact from design innovation. PEPCO continues with its digital transformation vision throughout the value chain.
The company has made 3D a communication central platform between headquarters, sourcing offices and vendors: this has allowed their collaboration significantly improved, everyone has aligned more, and also decisions/processes have made faster. As PEPCO points out, the future of fashion is seamless digital connectivity — where teams, tools and creativity unite to facilitate smarter and faster outcomes.
