With Meshcapade’s digidoppel, you can easily create animation-ready avatars from 3D scans or a set of body measurements through a friendly drag-and-drop interface (more options for avatars from mocap, images & video coming soon!). You can automatically generate a clean, realistic human mesh and animation rig. The 3D bodies created through digidoppel can be directly integrated with Browzwear’s VStitcher software to accurately show how garments look on human bodies.
Bodies from measurements
This feature allows you to create avatars directly from measured dimensions. You can get an accurate body shape from just a few hand measurements. It can also automatically estimate the remaining dimensions. The created 3D avatar can be seamlessly imported into Browzwear’s VStitcher software which can help better visualize garments on different body shapes and poses.
Bodies from scans
Through digidoppel’s simple interface, you can upload your 3D body scan and receive results that have:
- A closed, standard topology and set of texture coordinates
- An animation-ready rig, consisting of a skeleton, skinning, and a trained set of over 200 corrective shapes
- Optional animation
Using this feature, digital garments generated by Browzwear’s VStitcher software can be accurately displayed on the human body to help predict the size and fit on various body shapes and motions.
Bodies from images
A new upcoming feature to digidoppel will allow the automatic creation of 3D bodies from 2D images.
