Ready to start your accessory creation journey in VStitcher? We recently added two new parametric avatars to our collection in the Cloud Asset Library; a bag avatar and a hand avatar.
In these two video tutorials, we’ll walk you through the process of creating a pair of leather gloves and a puffy backpack in VStitcher. Remember, there are limitless possibilities when it comes to designing accessories in 3D that we hope you’ll continue to explore.
By utilizing our parametric hand avatar and taking advantage of our two ready-to-use glove blocks, designing gloves has never been easier. You can now adjust the hand avatar’s measurements, including the size of the hand and its finger length. To dress the glove, simply arrange the pattern pieces in both the 2D and 3D windows until you are satisfied with the results.
You can then customize and add details to your gloves with cut marks, buckles, as well as some decorative touches, including cuffs and topstitching. When working with the parametric hand avatar, you also have the freedom to experiment with various poses by simply modifying the position of the hand and fingers and saving them in your pose library in the 3D window for future use.
From an everyday tote bag to an adventurous backpack, the parametric bag avatar in VStitcher allows you to create an endless number of bag styles using various fabrics by simply adjusting the cube’s dimensions to achieve your desired shape, size, and look.
With the latest bag avatar, you can arrange and dress the patterns on the bag, just as you would when creating a garment. You can also work with various fabric physics and textures, experiment with different artwork, and detail your bag with pockets and 3D trims before rendering it in true-to-life 3D.
