Current Trends and the Future of Digital Pattern Making in Fashion
Discover how digital pattern-making transforms fashion with automation, 3D tools, and enhanced collaboration for a sustainable future.
Creating a tech pack in Browzwear is straightforward and customizable, offering VStitcher and Lotta users the flexibility to tailor their packs according to their needs. Let’s dive into how you can efficiently create and export your tech pack to suit your workflow.
VStitcher and Lotta users can create a tech pack from their workspace. They can customize what to include in the tech pack, whether it is BOM with colorways, fabrics, and trims or artwork with its measurements and position.
You can also select how to preview the garments in the tech pack. Whether as a 3D model or a schematic render.
The tech pack file can be exported either as one file in Excel format or as multiple folders, including pattern pieces, BOM, artwork, etc.
The tech pack in an Excel format gives VStitcher and Lotta users the flexibility to customize the data before sharing it so it can be adapted to any requirement and workflow. The file can easily be exported from VStitcher without needing to have Excel pre-installed on your computer. From annotations to resizing images or implementing additional data, the tech pack can be edited accordingly. Having an editable tech pack makes communication between different departments clearer, leaving less room for misunderstandings.
Once the customized tech pack is ready to print, you can select different print previews, giving you the option to print out fewer pages. However, if you’d rather work with a different format than HTML or Excel, we still offer the capability of building a custom template via our open platform integration.
In addition to the tech pack, users can use the Print to File function to share a production-ready pattern with manufacturers. This pattern will include all the necessary information for the manufacturer, such as grain lines, style, shape, and size names.
