Artwork with Alpha Part 1


We’ll start by guiding you through the simple process of downloading the SBSAR file and importing it into VStitcher. We’ll show you how to change the Material mode from PBR to Substance to get the full effect and how to switch the mask selection to Color input Alpha to display the shape of the artwork. Plus, we’ll demonstrate how to customize the colors using the Color selection to make your design truly unique. With the SBSAR file’s parametric capabilities, the sky’s the limit for your creativity.

Artwork with Alpha Part 2


Taking things up a notch, we’ll show you how to use two fantastic artwork effects, Stick Metallic print and Puff glitter print. We’ll guide you through the process of downloading and importing these effects into VStitcher, and show you how to modify parameters like roughness and color to make them your own. Then, we’ll provide step-by-step instructions on how to apply these effects to your garments in VStitcher.

Artwork without Alpha


In this video, we’ll show you how to work with Substance artwork effects that aren’t directly compatible with PNG artwork with alpha channels so that you can ensure your artwork image is created correctly before importing it to VStitcher. To create a proper mask, you’ll need a black and white image, which is required for most Substance effects. We’ll also walk you through the process of downloading and importing the Sequence reversible graphic effect from the Substance 3D asset store. And the best part? The SBSAR file is a parametric file, allowing you to change various parameters to match your specific design. This process is applicable to most of the artwork available in the Substance 3D asset store.

Recoloring Artwork


Learn how to easily edit the color of your artwork from the Adobe 3D Assets Store using the Substance effect in this tutorial. The Substance 3D color picker is optimized for 3D, which is different from the classic color picker. If you’re using an artwork execution effect from the Substance 3D asset store, the color picker might not be available yet. But don’t worry, we’ve got a simple workaround! Just use the VStitcher color picker and switch the color mode to Recolor in the context menu to fine-tune the colors of your artwork and give your designs even more creative control.

Converting Adobe Assets into VStitcher Artwork Effects


In this video, we’ll cover two workflows – the first for effects that already work with artwork containing an alpha channel, and the second for effects that can only be applied to black and white images. Watch as we walk you through the process of converting a 3D effect to a PNG file with an alpha channel. It’s as easy as downloading the SBS file, opening it in Substance Designer, adding the PNG file with an alpha channel, and converting it to an input that Adobe can recognize. With this simple technique, you’ll be able to easily save and import your newly converted effect into VStitcher.
